Auction KSRTC Bus stations in Kerala

Indian Railways has done reasonably well in the recent times by aunctioning its owned property adjacent to the railway stations all over India. They in fact are succesful in creating a public limited company to over see these transactions and make a business out of it. But look at the Kerala Road Transport Corperation owned properities in Kerala. Though the KSRTC bus fares are more compared to the Private Bus fares, KSRTC is still having an annual loss of Rs 84 Crores. Every nook and corner of the state, KSRTC manages unutilized property to a larger extend. Imagine if they are in the hands of the private entrepreneurs. It should have created business opportunities in Kerala and also created thousands of employment opportunities in Kerala. The tax payers of Kerala shall demad the accountability from the transport ministry on this. Even after the air trafiic has been deregulated, KSRTC is still at the mercy of politicians

CPPR's social media presence on Blockathon makes a mark!

Migrant labourers are often a disadvantaged and vulnerable group because of associated socio-economic and cultural issues. In India, massive interstate migration of labourers poses serious predicaments warranting immediate attention both at the ground level and policy level. The first-of-its-kind hackathon in India was designed to beneficially employ the blockchain technology for offering comprehensive solutions to mitigate problems related to migrant labour. These vendors run street eateries which are popularly known among the inhabitants as ‘thattukada’. Thattukadas serve palatable indigenous flavours. They daily feed several thousands of customers belonging to various segments of the society and age groups. Street food is a treasure house of local culinary traditions and is increasingly playing an important role as an enhancer and force multiplier of tourism sector. [1] These vendors operate, mostly, at evenings or nights. They cater to the needs of night travellers, labourers and immigrant bachelors and were even successful in promoting the fast food culture in the city.
